Virtual Brand Experience
A Virtual Retail Environment
The Virtual Brand Experience is an homage to Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One. During this COVID19 Pandemic, we thought about a world with limited mobility and strict social distancing. In it, we imagined another way of brand interaction through a virtual world where users are able to view, inspect, interact with the virtual product, customer service bots and other users.
However, through the phases of our prototyping we received some customer feedback who asked for a scaled down web-based (and mobile friendly) version which gave birth to our VR Store. In this experiment, we had to scale down quality to ensure browser compatibilities and reserved our more demanding features for a future iteration that is truer to the original vision.
The current prototype allows for simple interactions to take place within the virtual stores. In it, users can:
- Playback Video
- Interact with a 3D VR Object
- Interact with Product Information Touchpoints
Future iterations are underway with much more robust features such as VOIP, Multi-user interactions, AI Chatbots and such. We foresee possible integrations with live virtual events, conferences and, of course, brand experiences.
